A few years ago I had a brainstorm that becoming a personal trainer would be a wonderful path to make funds. I decided that getting a personal trainer certification online would be the ideal way - simple, work on my own schedule, and so forth. The only problem? Before I was able to acquire a personal trainer certification, I needed to become in shape myself! My brilliant solution? A work-out DVD.
I bought my first exercises disc three years ago, and have not used it ever since. I don't remember what it was called - I have since then lost it somewhere in the back recesses of my home, and have not seen it in several weeks, but I do remember some things about it. It was bright pink, and had some grinning man in spandex and big curls on the cover, saying to you to get thin. I thought that the cardio exercise DVD would motivate me to get my rear in shape, nonetheless it was not to be. As an alternative, my new aerobic DVD just decided to sit in the corner, accumulating dust while I sat on the couch, growing fatter and less in shape.
My following exercises video was a step exercises DVD, but it fared no better. I think I did try that specific cardio exercise disc a couple of times, but to no avail. I just felt so silly sitting there at home, undulating along with a workshop on tape who weren't even in the room with me, pretending that I was doing something that was not altogether ridiculous. I just couldn't make it a part of my routine. I had originally scheduled to start off every day with the aerobic dvd and a shower, but when I would rise out of bed in the morning time, it was the last thing that I wanted to do.
I have had 3 of 4 aerobic dvds since then and, to be straightforward with you, none of them have done the trick at all. It just isn't very fun to do exercises by yourself in the front room, watching your cardio dvd on the tv. Nothing truly occurred to get me totally fit from watching the cardio dvd. Ultimately, I had to do what I had been dreading all along; I had to sign up for sports club. When I began to get my exercise from aerobics lessons and not a cardio dvd, it suddenly turned into so much easier to stay with the program. The lessons got me out of my house, and the people in them were so encouraging, that I just could not help myself. Pretty much instantaneously, I was hooked on taking exercise classes to get in shape. It was like you couldn't get me away from them. Meanwhile, every aerobic dvd I have ever had quietly gathers dust in the house of a newer, fitter me.
